About Hikaya

Hikaya (Arabic for “story”) was built around a simple observation: most English courses teach words in lists and grammar in tables, but people actually acquire language through meaningful input — stories they understand and enjoy.

Every story on Hikaya is original, written specifically for learners, and graded on the CEFR scale from A1 to C1. Every sentence carries a careful Arabic translation, every word can be tapped for an instant explanation, and every story ends with a short quiz so you know exactly what you understood.
